I would like to extend a warm welcome to the official website of STAP (The Society of Turkish American Physicians). As the Chairman of STAP, I am excited to introduce you to our organization and its noble mission.
Our journey began with a shared commitment that emerged from the depths of adversity. When a devastating earthquake struck on 6 February 2023, its impact was felt across southern and central Turkey, as well as northern and western Syria. However, from this tragedy, a community of dedicated Turkish physicians came together with a vision to make a meaningful difference.
In the aftermath of the earthquake, this group organized itself, driven by a collective determination to assist those affected. This collaborative effort led to the formation of STAP, a beacon of hope that aimed to address the pressing needs of individuals and communities.
Through meticulous planning and dedication, we pursued our mission with utmost diligence. This journey included the application for non-profit organization status, a testament to our commitment to making a lasting impact. After obtaining the approval, STAP began its formal journey as a non-profit organization dedicated to unity, support, and evidence-based excellence.
STAP is not just an organization; it’s a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. This website serves as a hub where you can explore our initiatives, connect with fellow professionals, and actively participate in our journey of empowerment and transformation across healthcare, education, and aid.
I would like to take this moment to extend my sincere gratitude to the board members who have displayed remarkable dedication and swift action in bringing STAP to life. Their unwavering commitment and willingness to spare their valuable time have been integral in the creation of this organization. Together, we have harnessed the power of unity to achieve our collective goals.
