Tugce Yegul, M.D.
Senior Physician, Department of Radiology
Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco
Tuğçe Yegül, MD was born and raised in Izmir, Türkiye. While attending Ege University School of Medicine in Izmir, she spent two summers working as a research assistant in the department of Radiology at UCLA. Shortly after graduating from medical school in 2001, she moved to Detroit, MI and worked first as a research associate, then as a resident, and finally as an attending in the department of Radiology at Wayne State University. In 2008, she moved to San Francisco and completed a women’s imaging fellowship at UCSF. She joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2009 where her initial practice was 100% breast imaging. Over time her night owl tendencies and love of emergency medicine made her transition to emergency radiology. Currently she’s a senior physician and shareholder at TPMG and works as a nighthawk from her home office in San Francisco.
Tugce is a strong believer in work-life balance. She loves spending time with her family. She’s a singer/songwriter who found the courage to share her songs with others later in life. She is a runner and a cyclist. She’s happiest when she’s got a new melody in her head while riding her bike. Finally, she has found great meaning in her position as president of STAP, finding fulfillment in providing humanitarian aid to those in need and educational opportunities to Turkish American physicians while enjoying the camaraderie.
