About Me:
After graduating from the Gulhane Military Medical Academy as an army physician, I served the Turkish Armed Forces in medically underserved communities for approximately two years. Once I received an honorable discharge, I broadened my experience by working in private hospitals in Turkey. Before embarking on my ophthalmology residency there, I recognized the paramount importance of a structured and well-guided residency program in the medical field. This realization prompted my decision to further hone my research and clinical skills in the US. At present, I am an ECFMG-certified research professional at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where I am actively involved in drug trials for breast cancer at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Apart from medicine, I’m also passionate about outdoor sports, world history, ancient philosophy, and brewing various coffee beans across the world.
I joined STAP as treasurer and am honored to work alongside Turkish-American physicians. These dedicated professionals commit their time and resources to assist medical professionals in need of mentorship and of support.
