Miray Kurtca, M.D.

Secretary

About Me:

Miray Kurtca, M.D., grew up in an Aegean Coastal city in Turkey called Izmir and graduated from Dokuz Eylul University. During her medical career, she has participated in various rotations at different hospitals in the United States. After graduation, she started her dream specialty, an internal medicine residency, in Turkey. However, to deepen her research, she moved to the United States to work as a postdoctoral fellow at Baylor College of Medicine. She is currently continuing her research at the Microbiome Center, focusing specifically on gastroenterology. She is pursuing her career in this manner.

To strive to become a well-rounded physician, she has gone beyond the medical field by getting involved in various activities such as traveling overseas, joining clubs, volunteering, giving health seminars to middle schools, and taking on leadership roles in different organizations.

She cherishes the moments spent in the company of good friends, is an avid tennis player, and takes to the slopes for skiing in the winter months. You’re likely to find her sipping a cup of tea in a cozy spot.

She serves as the general secretary in STAP and is very proud to be a part of this organization with full of motivation.
