In an effort to provide a platform of growth to Turkish American physicians and healthcare workers, STAP has organized a series of comprehensive webinars addressing the needs and interests of our members at various stages of their medical journey in the US. Previous webinars included topics such as boarding to residency and ERAS Match applications. In the coming months, STAP aims to expand on its webinar series with topics such as residency interview simulations and Match ranking; delving deeper into medical careers in the US, STAP will guide members on each step of their journey.
Mentorship is a crucial tool that is required in the lives of every medical professional. STAP is aware of the lack of mentorship for Turkish American physicians and aims to provide all that is needed for our members on their path to a medical career in the US. Through our upcoming Residency Interview Mentorship project, Match applicants will learn about the intricacies of residency interviews from experienced physicians and program directors while also improving their interview skills by conducting one on one mock interviews with their mentors.
Our biweekly Online Journal Club is an exclusive activity just for our society’s members. Every two weeks, we meet online to discuss various medical papers with expert guidance. We talk about new research and how it affects healthcare. Your thoughts are important, no matter your experience. Keep an eye out for topics and guest speakers. Join us in understanding medical topics and improving healthcare. This is an activity organized by the Society of Turkish American Physicians, and only members can take part. Driving advancements and progress, research is an integral component of medicine. STAP values the involvement of our members in research and their contribution to the advancements in their fields. With our upcoming research opportunities, we aim to support research initiatives of our members.
